For many years I have been concerned about my risk of developing breast cancer. This stems from my mother’s diagnosis of breast cancer over 10 years ago. As a result of my mother’s history I have been advised to be vigilant regarding breast exams and annual check ups. I eat well and I exercise but surely there is a lot more that I could be doing too?
During the course of this year I was introduced to a new concept in healthcare, genetic testing. I attended the initial training on genes specifically related to sporting performance.
